Rogue Shakespeare® Photography
Before he became an agent, our founder Ryan J-W Smith (aka Rogue Shakespeare) was, among many other things, a professional photographer and a trained Hollywood paparazzo!
Starting his career shooting entirely on film, his first paid job was a commission to photograph studio shots of dancers for a popular dance book being published internationally by A&C Black (now owned by Bloomsbury Publishing) – one of the biggest publishing houses in the UK.
Since then he has developed his photography skills in many areas – including headshot, portrait, fashion and landscape photography. His works have been curated for galleries, such as Whitewall Galleries in Leeds. And he was head-hunted and trained to be a paparazzo by an agency whist he was living in LA.
And, while he ultimately walked away from working as a paparazzo in LA, the tough training to be a Hollywood paparazzo means Ryan is able to shoot headshots etc. much more quickly than most photographers. Quicker shoots saves you money – reflected in his generous prices and packages.

YOU GET ALL YOUR SHOTS!
Almost all photographers limit the number of photos that you can get from a session by limiting the number of retouched / un-watermarked photos available – and making you pay for more if you want them later. This can turn a seemingly affordable session into a costly venture.
Focusing on generosity and giving actors what they really want/need, Ryan will give you all of your untouched photos from your session for you to retouch yourself at your leisure. Simples! 🙂
NO RETOUCHES – NO LIMITS!
Ryan doesn’t retouch your photos. Almost everyone has access to powerful image retouching software today – even on their phone. So, as we do away with restricting your access to your photos, we also do away with the need for your photographer to retouch your photos.
You can retouch your own photos to your heart’s content, or have someone else do them. You don’t need your photographer to do them for you – we’re sure you and your friends are fully capable! ☺️👍
SHORT AFFORDABLE SHOOTS!
Do you really need all those photos from an expensive 5 hour photo shoot!? When you’re after just that one iconic headshot or full-length that gets you in the door, being forced to pay for long session can seem like a waste of time and money.
Ryan offers sessions starting from as short as 90 mins (studio booked for 2 hours – 15 mins in/out each side) – during which he will focus, with lightening paparazzo speed, on nailing those iconic shots for you. And you’re bound to get more than you expected – as an experienced agent and photographer, Ryan obviously knows exactly what agents and casting directors are looking for!
